At Interstate's Ashburn branch, three employees received awards: Mover of the Month, Tanimu Umaru, a two-year employee; Helper of the Month, La'Mar Porter, a six-month employee; and Packer of the Month, Claudia Hernandez, and employee since June.

At Interstate's Landover facility, three employees received awards: Mover of the Month, Russell Taylor Jr., an employee since May; Helper of the Month, Barry Spriggs, an employee since 2002; and Packer of the Month, Linda Black, an employee since 1996.

Lee Caraway, a long distance driver, was awarded Driver of the Month for November. Caraway, who is a contract driver from Minnesota, has been with Interstate since May.

Honored staff receive $35 gift certificate to the Interstate company store, filled with sportswear items, hats, toy trucks, etc. "Each employee's hard work and dedication to the company does not go unnoticed. Interstate relies on all team members - administrative staff, movers, helpers, drivers, and warehousemen, to make this company work successfully. It is only through everyone's efforts that we can continue to deliver our Top Hat Service to our customers," said Interstate President Buddy Morrissette.

Established in 1943 and headquartered in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, the Interstate family of companies today comprises a worldwide group of relocation management, transportation and logistic entities. For sixty years, the Interstate team has been learning and building on its reputation for providing "Top Hat Service." The experience and attention to details led to Interstate being designated as ISO certified for all entities and facilities in August 2000, an accomplishment achieved by less than one percent of companies within its industry.
